Aviation Curriculum Developer
The Curriculum Developer Design, implement and evaluate an organization’s learning courses and programs. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge to support the development, update, and process for approval of existing programs of instruction to ensure currency and accuracy. Work with customer leadership and staff in the development and maintenance of programs of instruction and supporting material used for training.
Design, write and develop instructional materials and support course content to build effective learning experiences.
Develop learning objectives and goals for each new program of instruction and review learning objective for existing curriculum
Draw from a diverse background of design and learning techniques to define and sequence instructional content and strategies to optimize learning experiences
Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (usually from face-to-face to e-Learning and virtual)
Create and maintain performance support materials, including but not limited to online knowledge bases, job aid, quick reference guides, and other digital based learning resources
Manage multiple projects and programs concurrently
Provide train the trainer sessions (classroom or virtual/remote) to support implementation of training programs
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a high school diploma and eight (8) years of equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in aviation operations or flight training
5+ years of experience developing military or curriculum
Experience with US Army training requirements and processes
Familiar with US Army Techniques Publications 3-04.7 and US Army training doctrine
Ability to read, interpret, organize, and synthesize source material into well-written, concise learning products
Knowledge and ability to implement various evaluation levels
Demonstrated ability to work successfully individually, within a team, and across multidisciplinary teams
