We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance/Operations Supervisor for our client site in the Greater St. Louis area. The successful candidate will have outstanding operations and maintenance skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
You will direct a workforce of technicians and professionals engaged in a variety of activities in the management of a pharmaceutical facility and ensures established company goals are realized while maintaining client relations that will enhance future business. You will act as a back-up to the Facility Maintenance Manager.
As the Facilities Maintenance/Operations Supervisor, you will manage safety and compliance, operations, personnel, and cost. You will be responsible for daily support activities, including:
Providing support to building operations and maintenance teams through developing strategies that help create processes and programs able to sustain low operating costs.
Performing evaluations and training teams to identify and eliminate waste, reduce operating/ maintenance costs, and reduce system failures.
Maintaining 24×7 operations of all critical building support systems (HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing/Electrical/Lab support/etc.).
Developing, planning, and implementing the program for preventative maintenance activities.
Managing multiple subcontractors supporting the operations and maintenance functions.
Diagnosing equipment issues and repairing equipment.
Understanding the critical nature of the client’s work environment including the particulars of a research facility.
Managing the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Writing and modifying maintenance work orders to improve equipment performance.
Working with and understanding reliability maintenance.
Keeping positive relations and a client partnering mentality.
Projecting continuous improvement, setting goals/objectives, meeting the schedule, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Providing leadership to the operation and ensuring an accident-free workplace.
Ensuring establishment of comprehensive safety procedures in respective areas.
Establishing and monitoring comprehensive lock out/tag out procedures, hot work procedures, and other applicable safety policies.
Maintaining appropriate Job Hazard Analysis for all work and developing JHAs as appropriate for new or altered work.
Demonstrating consistent, effective and efficient written and oral communication skills (client, employees, suppliers, subcontractors, management, etc).
Maintaining consistent communication with management on key issues, potential client issues, and approach to resolutions.
Performing all other duties as required.
As the Facilities Maintenance/Operations Supervisor, you will be expected to:

The selected candidate will receive a $3,000.00 sign-on bonus 30 days after hire for this position!
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
10 years of facility operations and maintenance experience including 5 years of facility operations and maintenance supervisory experience in a technical field.
Technical knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to prioritize, assign, track, and trend equipment history.
Experience with developing, managing, and presenting KPI’S.
Working knowledge of purchasing and/or utilizing and managing subcontracts or vendors.
Staff management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, terminating, and performance appraisals.
Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.
Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
Ability to obtain an appropriate driver’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Some physical requirements include:
Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
Ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
Ability to travel to other Amentum, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
Ability to walk extensively throughout diverse work environments as required by business demand.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions.

Pfizer Site Requirement:

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade school credentials.
Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment.
Experience utilizing a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Visio.
Predictive maintenance experience, including areas such as IR scanning, ultrasonic, vibration and oil analysis, testing, life cycle studies, incident reports, root cause analysis and/or additional data gathering programs.
