Field Service Representative – Heavy Equipment Maintenance (915E, 91Z)
Purpose: This position advises, assists, and provides maintenance oversight of repair, including performance of maintenance and repair of commercial or military equipment. Inspects all maintenance and repair efforts of Heavy Equipment, Systems and Platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.
Inspects all maintenance and repair efforts of all Heavy Equipment (Wheel).
May supervise and perform maintenance and inspections and advanced diagnostics at the direct support and general support level of maintenance and repairs of es of military heavy equipment: PLS (M1120A4 M1075,) LHS (M1074’s). HEMMTs (M984A4, M978A4,) FMTVs (M1078-M1089A1P2) STRYKERs, (JLTV’s (1278, 1280A1) and Trailers for equipment, i.e., M1076. M1082, M1095, M870 series to include Flat racks and other family type vehicles.
Performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on various pieces of wheeled vehicles/equipment, both tactical and non-tactical.
Provides guidance and technical assistance to shop maintenance personnel on inspection principles of workmanship, procedures to be employed, and quality of work expected.
Ensures compliance with government and corporate regulations, company SOPs, directives, and technical manuals to establish and maintain a quality management program.
Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs.
Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Minimum 6 years’ related experience required.
Must have the ability to analyze and interpret U.S. Army Technical Manuals with relation to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must have a valid US license
International driver’s license.preferred
Military MOS 91H (USA) 3521(USMC) or civilian equivalent preferred.
