Motor Pool Mechanic
Amentum is seeking a Motor Pool Mechanic located in the Williamsburg area of Virgina. The Mechanic will repair, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.
Job Requirements:
Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required
replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts
grinding and adjusting valves
rebuilding carburetors
overhauling transmissions
repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
Minimum Requirements:
High school Diploma or GED
Working knowledge of vehicles and mechanics
Working knowledge of tools
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
Must posses an active government clearance at time of application
