Procedures Supervisor

       

Reports to the Operations Procedures Manager and is responsible for supervising the development and maintenance of plant operating procedures that support safe and compliant operations of systems and facilities. Ensures work executed by assigned procedure specialists is performed within facility budget and follows customer specifications. Performs work in accordance with Conduct of Operations procedures, other applicable project processes and programs, company and project policies, and all applicable laws, regulations, Contract, Authorization Basis, and technical requirements.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

Supervise procedure process activities including:

Developing procedures – component noun naming, procedure requirements identification, procedure design, procedure development, quality verification, procedure review and approval process

Revising procedures – review and incorporate revisions due to program changes, design changes, lessons learned, operating experience

Develop and revise facility operating procedures, alarm response procedures, maintenance procedures, TSR and CSMP surveillance procedures, abnormal operating procedures, and emergency operating procedures

Ensure that personnel responsible for the commissioning of the facility have complete, technically accurate procedures to operate the facility in a safe and efficient manner

Coordinate communication among support groups and the area facilities to ensure optimum support of completing commissioning phase operations procedures scope

Perform observations, surveillances, and assessments of procedure processes to ensure activities are safely and correctly conducted.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED plus 8 years of related experience in technical plant operations including procedures development and implementation. Two years’ experience in a supervisory leadership role required.

OR

Associates Degree in Business Administration or related technical degree plus 6 years of related experience in technical plant operations including procedures development and implementation. Two years’ experience in a supervisory leadership role required.

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related technical degree and 4 years of related experience in technical plant operations including procedures development and implementation. Two years’ experience in a supervisory leadership role required.

Preferred Experience:

Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) certification.

Preferred candidates will have worked in the Naval Nuclear field, Department of Energy Nuclear Industry, Commercial Nuclear Operations and/or a combination of operations in nuclear and high hazard waste treatment plants.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise WTP Plant Operations Procedures personnel

Establish goals and priorities for assigned personnel to ensure efficient use of resources

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.

Amentum has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC, known as the Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.

Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $107,462.78 – $169,763.77 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
