Senior Software Development Engineer
Amentum is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our award-winning team with experience in radar signals, processing of radar software, how to adjust and develop algorithms to reduce errors, as well as mature systems design experience.
In this role, you will:
Lead a small team to implement this system and set it up in an Agile way to test, fix, analyze and mature this in-house system for use enterprise wide.
Develop and implement applications, tools, and utilities that support software development and analysis.
Plan, perform, and lead software design, root cause and defect correction for errors in development, test and integration.
Be the direct on-site customer interface for software installation, testing, systems integration, programming debugging and other computer system tasks as needed in an adaptive Agile environment, build and maintaining the latest Sim/Stim development tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Physics) and 20 year’s experience
OR master’s degree and 15 years of experience
OR PhD and 10 years of experience.
Experience must include:
Software development in C++ and Python in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
5+ years of experience performing detailed and complex software design and development meeting sub millisecond timing requirements
5+ years of program/project level experience software design and development experience for DOD sensor or weapon systems
Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Qt IDE, OpenGL, SQL
Knowledge/Experience with RTI Data Distribution Service (DDS)
C++, CI/CD tools and CM methodologies
Experience with PERL in RedHat Enterprise Linux Environment
