Job SummaryAmentum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Surface Ship Combat Systems to support the development of system engineering products, SETR planning, and execution in either Dahlgren or Fredericksburg, VA. As a team player, you will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skill-sets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. You are self-motivated and eager to make a difference by solving complex Systems Engineering challenges. You’re also a natural leader who is an effective communicator, knowing when to step up and make suggestions to our customer. Apply your skills to the latest Department of Defense (DoD) weapon and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success. *While under COVID, remote support is maximized, but you must be available to report to Dahlgren as needed. We take care of our employees who in turn take care of our customers, driving the success of our business.Minimum RequirementsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) recognized engineering curriculum10 years of systems engineering experience in Surface Navy Combat SystemsDue to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. CitizenMust have an active Secret security clearancePreferred QualificationsCombat Systems Requirements developmentSystem Engineering product development (i.e. SEP, IMS, TRAPs, etc.)Weapon and Combat System certification experienceMS Office Suite, DOORS, MS ProjectSpecialized experience with emphasis in one or more of the following:Combat Systems Cyber SecurityShips Self Defense SystemLittoral Combat Ship (LCS) class frigateAEGIS Integrated Combat SystemsDDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyerAegis Ballistic Missile DefenseWeapon/Sensor Combat Systems Experience
