SERE/Code Of Conduct Instructor
The focus of this position is training our customers in the principles and procedures of Survival and Personnel Recovery.
Responsibilities:
Conducting instruction during individual, small and large group laboratory settings as it relates to the principles and procedures supporting the Code of Conduct.
Conducting training events and assessing student performance during their learning processes.
Identifying and recommending process improvements and, solving difficult problems considering multiple factors based on personal experience.
Utilizing a variety of blended learning techniques such as eLearning tools, lectures, classroom discussions, team exercises, readings, case studies, role-plays and demonstrations of required skills through work-related tasks.
Duties may include developing training materials, coordinating and resourcing training events.
May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees to support team growth.
Qualifications
Must have a current Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Must pass a human-factors screening.
Experience delivering instructional teaching sessions that meet specific learning objectives.
Ability to facilitate learning by applying subtle course facilitation skills and effective presentation skills.
Must have a sound working knowledge and proficiency in the use of instructional methodologies (informal lecture, guided discussion, and role play) to present information and dilemmas.
Must have at least basic level MS Office skills (specifically Word and PowerPoint) and proficiency with using email.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable as needed.
Desired qualifications:
?Graduate of an accredited U.S. military/government survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) course.
Knowledge of Department of Defense guidance regarding the Code of Conduct.
Graduate of a basic instructor course with an understanding of training approach and processes.
Operational experience in Personnel Recovery tasks or with SERE TTP.
This position requires occasional work on a non-standard schedule, to include extended duty day/shift work, including some weekends and holidays. All employees are expected to maintain satisfactory attendance and report to work on time.
