Job Description
See what you’re missing. Our employees work on the world’s most advanced electronics – from detecting threats for F-35 pilots to illuminating the night for soldiers. Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we are developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. Drawing strength from our differences, we’re innovating for the future. And you can, too.

Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world without giving up your personal life. We put our customers first – exemplified by our mission: “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®.” Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.

In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you’ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems (ES) sector is looking for a motivated college student interested in a career in engineering. We have an intern position available for the summer of 2023. If you are seeking to join an organization where diversity, equity and inclusion are highly valued, your future is with BAE Systems. You will be joining an inclusive team at a dynamic company that values technical excellence. At our Greenlawn NY facility, we value our cultural principles by providing a heathy work environment in order to develop and produce Identification (IFF), Mission Computer, and EO/IR equipment for the US Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Army and for customers worldwide. Our company mission is “We protect those who protect us” and you will get an opportunity to apply and enhance your skills in the development of products whose primary purpose is to keep our warfighters safe.
We offer a nurturing environment that allows you to continue to learn as you will be part of an experienced hardware team and will participate in many aspects of the development lifecycle under the supervision of an experienced engineer. As part of the BAE Systems hardware team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the designs of complex electronics used on many platforms.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. On top of numerous diverse and challenging career opportunities, BAE offers flexible schedules (including every other Friday off).
