Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team supporting the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center under the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services contract located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The C5ISR Center is an applied research and advanced technology development center which develops and integrates C5ISR technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Warfighters. The C5ISR Center provides the Army with secure communications/networking technologies through R&D innovations. The successful candidate will serve in a key position as a Cyber Security Eng supporting CSIA engineering and operations.
This position designs, tests and implements security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate systems. Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. May help maintain hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols, and administer security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems. Must have significant experience (a minimum 10 years) in information assurance, information security, or cyber security.
May also support NSA approved Cross Domain Solution (CDS) LBSA team, working on CDS research and development teams building new technology; supporting DoD programs with CDS needs; authoring CDS documentation; performing hands-on assessments of security controls. Experience desired with NSA certification and authorization processes for cross domain solutions and an understanding of the structure of the NSA Cross Domain Solution Management Office (NCDSMO) and how they engage with other CDS authorizing groups including the CDTAB. Possess up-to-date knowledge on the CDS Raise the Bar (RTB) requirements and architectures, AR 25-2 Cybersecurity, and DoDI 8540.01 Cross Domain (CD) Policy. Leads or supports security assessment or vulnerability assessment teams, and supports documenting findings and briefing results.
The position requires ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum education of Master’s Degree
Minimum degree requirement of Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required
Minimum years of experience of 10 years. 10 years of additional Relevant Experience may be substituted for education requirement
Must have at a minimum 10 years’ experience in information assurance, information security, or cyber security
