Job Description
Join BAE Systems’ Intelligence and Security sector and be a part of a team who solves some of the world’s most complex engineering challenges. We are looking for a motivated and inspired Senior Cloud Architect to join our Engineering and Operations and Sustainment (O&S) team provide technical architecture leadership, vision, and direction.
As a Senior Cloud Architect, you may:
Provide technical guidance to the Engineering and O&S Teams
Explain and document the technical design and approach from inception through deployment and sustainment activities
Provide technical consultation and offer solution to complex IT/cloud challenges
Design and guide implementation of multi-cloud Enterprise IT architectures
Ensure consistency through technical design, engineering, and sustainment efforts
Utilize Digital Engineering to guide the development of technical requirements, infrastructure, design and test scenarios
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or STEM field AND
Professional level Cloud Architect certification, such as:
AWS Solutions Architect-Professional
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect-Associate
10+ years’ experience creating successful IT architectures AND
5+ years’ experience creating successful IT architectures in AWS or Azure
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master’s degree in computer science or STEM field
Professional level Cloud Architect certification, such as:
AWS Solutions Architect-Professional
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect-Expert
20+ years’ experience with relevant IT architecture
5+ years’ experience creating successful IT architectures in C2S/C2E
