We are looking for experienced Cloud System Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and a minimum of six (6) years related experience in the following areas:
This candidate will manage and maintain a Virtual Information Processing Environment utilizing VMware ESXi. As a Systems Engineer, you will also provide Tier 3 support and identify systems integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Managing and maintaining ESXi virtual environments on multiple networks. Apply Hosts and Systems patching following security and vendor releases
Performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
Analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or enhance existing systems
Reviewing computer systems capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
Testing, maintaining, and monitoring computer programs and systems to include coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
Consulting with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address
Expanding or modifying systems to serve new purposes or enhance workflow
Analyzing and studying complex systems requirements
Applying the Concept of Operations set of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design,
Applying business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles, as well as business process modernization projects
Assisting with establishing standards for information systems procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must possess significant experience with VMware ESXi 6. 0 and above (6. 5, 6. 7 and 7. 0 preferred), or Nutanix AHV
Must possess experience and/or knowledge managing storage clusters in a VMware or Nutanix environment
Experience in PowerShell scripting
Working knowledge of standard and distributed switches
Working knowledge of Cluster Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and Storage DRS
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Knowledge of vRealize Operations Manager (vROPS) and/or Nutanix Prism Central
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
Experience utilizing JIRA is a plus
