Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS):
In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics – whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will be a part of a team of Software Developers in developing real-time embedded electronics solutions for high integrity and safety critical applications through all stages of the software development cycle (requirements, design, code, and verification).
Candidate will work with Systems and Hardware Engineers to translate customer requirements into technical solutions, including performing SW/HW integration testing, verification, and debug.
Responsibilities may include reverse engineering existing code bases to address problem reports, implement enhancements and improve overall structure for maintainability.
The Software Engineer may be expected to present to a wide variety of stakeholders including customers, managers and business area leaders.
The Ideal candidate for this position will have experience architecting, coding and maintaining complex Software.
Must be comfortable reverse engineering existing code bases to address problem reports, implement enhancements and improve overall structure for maintainability.
Must be comfortable operating in a dynamic rapidly evolving technology space.
Must be comfortable operating in an Integrated Product Tea, (IPT) supporting a diverse cross functional team.

Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other related technical field.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or other related technical field.
BS with 1+ Years of Experience, MS with 8+ Years’ Experience, PhD with 5+ Years of Experience.
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience in any the following areas are a plus.
Experience in Safety Critical or Mission Critical Industries such as:
Aerospace, Military, Medical, Automotive, Industrial / Energy / Nuclear
Experience with Agile development approach.
Experience with MATLAB Simulink.
Experience with Auto Generated code.
Experience with Aerospace Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC).
Experience with control law development & vehicle dynamics experience.
Experience with Autonomous vehicle control.
Experience with specific Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) approaches or general Human and Autonomous cooperation, coordination & control.
