Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Senior Systems Engineer focused on Innovation to work on a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. The qualified candidate will support the development and implementation of a Space Ground mission-focused software cloud application.
The Developer Engagement Lead will be responsible for building positive relationships with clients by serving as their primary point of contact and accelerate customer adoption of Software changes/updates. This position also involves providing engineering support of planning, tracking and managing the insertion of technical innovation as described herein:
Delivers continuous innovation at the speed of mission to incorporate new technology rapidly and regularly, attracting users with ever-increasing capabilities
Builds innovation and improvement pipeline/backlog to address needs across all the TOs
Manages the innovation process and hosts the Tech Steering Committee and Innovation Summits with industry partners.
Assist with architecture changes and provide impacts across all Athena TOs of changes and innovative ideas
The on-site BAE Systems Innovation Engineer will have close collaboration, rapid exchange of technical ideas and solutions with the customer Program and Technical Leadership.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ relevant rework experience
Hold a Top Secret security clearance
Understanding of User Interface design and development practices
Experience with Government contracting for the Space market to include Ground Processing, Command and Control and/or Intelligence Systems
Experience working on-site with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community
Experience with Agile management tools (e. g. , Jira, etc. )
Experience with UML/SysML modeling tools such as Enterprise Architect, System Architect, etc.
Experience with configuration management tools (e. g. Subversion, Git, etc. )
Experience with Cloud infrastructure (e. g. AWS, Azure, etc. )
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
Hold an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and Counter Intelligence Polygraph
Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
Experience with the Intelligence Community
Experience with Red Hat Linux
CompTIA Security + Certified
AWS Certified CLoud Practitioner
Proficient in statistical analysis methods and tools
Experience with system integration and test
Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
Ability to negotiate effectively with higher level managers, functional managers, customers, industry partners, and teammates
Strong oral and written communications skills
Technical understanding of cloud systems to be able to work independently on certain topics related to product transition and understanding developer needs for our engagement and outreach
Good planning and organizational skills
