Policy and Export Control Specialist
Key Role:
Design, manage, and support the implementation, enforcement, and continuous improvement of ethics and compliance programs to drive ethical behavior and a culture of compliance. advanced consulting and extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with regulatory export compliance, including International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulation (EAR), and sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
2+ years of experience with performing legal or policy research as a legal assistant or paralegal
Experience with administrative functions, including coordinating visits in accordance with policies, taking accurate meeting minutes, and documenting action items, maintenance, and dissemination of documentation
Experience with researching, monitoring, maintaining, and briefing policy requirements related to export control and compliance, in accordance with local regulations, government policies, and international laws
Ability to perform oversight of daily export transactions, evaluations of export violations, program audits, and compliance checks
Ability to ensure compliance with regulations, including record-keeping, reporting, and using ITAR and EAR exemptions
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of applications and the Atlassian suite of tools
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with collaborating, communicating, organizing, planning, and problem solving
Experience with serving as a liaison for US government officials
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a wide array of technical and non-technical staff and customers
Ability to use discretion to serve as a resource to others
Ability to handle a range of issues from complex and unstructured up through novel, abstract, and exceptionally difficult
Ability to communicate, collaborate, organize, and plan to meet organizational objectives effectively
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
