Cloud Platforms Information Systems Security Engineer, Lead
The Challenge:
Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in cloud-based system security to safeguard our nation? As a systems security & network security engineer, you can identify the tools and techniques needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy for mission-critical cloud-based intelligence systems. We need your experience to oversee the development and implementation of security solutions that will protect mission-critical platforms and hosted applications supporting our nation’s intelligence and defense agencies.
On our team, you’ll lead a group of information systems security engineers as they troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of software vulnerabilities, cloud-based architectures, and Intelligence Community cybersecurity policies and practices. You’ll manage the research of technology and market trends to further develop security solutions. Using your expertise on the command line alongside tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and Elastic you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls while ceaselessly working to defend client systems against a broad range of cyber threats.
In this role, you’ll directly impact our nation’s ability to defend herself and our allies by ensuring critical space-based intelligence systems are secure against cyber threats. What You’ll Work On:
Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
Manage infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas; leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
8+ years of experience working in information systems security
Experience using key cybersecurity analysis and remediation tools such as command line scripts, Splunk, Nessus, and Elastic
Knowledge of key information system security policies within the Intelligence Community and its components
Knowledge of cloud-based systems architecture with an emphasis on systems hosted within Amazon Web Service (AWS) or Microsoft Azure clouds
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or cybersecurity field
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with Agile project management methods
Experience with DevSecOps approaches to solution development
Experience leading information security teams
Knowledge of national security space systems, particularly ground segments
Master’s Degree in technical or cybersecurity-related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
