Continuity of Operations Planner

Key Role:

Manage the application of analytical risk management principles that enable organizations to achieve mission assurance by preparing for, preventing, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from emergencies and continuity events. Aid in the development, management, and refinement of continuity of operations plans for a large federal organization. Provide expertise of key concepts and strategies supporting continuity of operations, business continuity, test, training and exercises, incident management, and disaster recovery.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience presenting information to a range of stakeholders
Experience developing, delivering, and conducting workforce training, including continuity of operations, emergency preparedness, Business Process Analysis and Business Impact Analysis (BPA/BIA), and business plan development and management
Knowledge of continuity and emergency preparedness procedures, policies, and directives associated with the National Incident Management System (NIMS), National Preparedness Framework, and other Federal guidance and policy
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Business Continuity, or Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management or Crisis Management and 4+ years of experience with COOP and Business Continuity
FEMA Level I, Professional Continuity Practitioner, or Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

Experience with Military or Civilian Government
Experience as an Action Officer
Experience with Consulting
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Ability to support emergencies
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Continuity Planning Certification or similar DRII or FEMA Certification, including ABCP, CBCP, or DRCE Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
