Network Modeling Systems Engineer
We’re looking for a Network Modeling Systems Engineer who has experience designing, deploying, and utilizing network modeling and simulations tools in support of demand planning, performance monitoring, and traffic planning.
As a Network Modeling Systems Engineer for our National Cyber Platform team, you will design systems and solutions that predict, replicate, and plan network traffic and performance. You’ll assist in the planning and design to ensure that infrastructure is functional and can stand up to forecasted demand. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement for a mission-critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Join our team and solve daily challenges.
Experience in working with Network Modeling and Simulation tools
Experience in scripting languages including Bash, Powershell, Python, or Perl
Experience in designing and architecting solutions for network modeling and simulations, network performance analysis, and demand planning
Knowledge of network design, protocols, components, and operations
Knowledge of cloud technologies, data center networks, and network security systems
Knowledge of DoD agency’s STIG, or NIST guidelines
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Riverbed Modeler (OPNet)
Experience with Juniper NorthStar Planner
Experience with Cisco Wan Automation Engine (WAE) or Cisco Crosswork Hierarchical Controller (HCO)
DoD 8570 IAT level II certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
