What You’ll Get to Do
As an Engineering Technician II under minimal supervision, you will provide direct technical assistance to hardware and manufacturing engineering in support of hardware fabrication planning. Assists in planning the methods and procedures required to provide technical support for scientific or engineering programmatic work. You will determine the sequence of operations and perform layouts, fabrication, assembly, installation and testing of components, assembly, subsystem and system level hardware, material, apparatus, and equipment. Sets up and operates equipment, test apparatus, test equipment, diagnostic devices and related equipment. You will fabricate hardware components according to guidelines for production and prototype or one of kind items.

CACI seeks a talented Engineering Technicians to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector. Someone with a desire to supports engineering analysis of production process and design deficiencies or malfunctions where immediate determinations regarding cause and needed corrections are required.
Your overall primary job responsibility consists of operating a wide range of tools in the precision fabrication of engineering development parts and assemblies. Requested tasks will require knowledge and use of all varieties of electro- tools, power tools, torque tools, cable assembly, surface mount technology assembly and repairs.
Must be able to follow electrical, electronic and assembly drawings, work instructs, and engineering directions to verify and evaluate hardware with engineering and develop in an environment where issues need to be identified and quickly resolved. The selected individual must be a self-starter, capable of working with minimal oversight and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to hardware engineers.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and technical instructions.
Sets up and configures test equipment, systems, test articles.
Perform tests and records data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
Test and troubleshoot existing hardware.
Apply principles of basic electronics circuitry.
Must be knowledgeable, capable of troubleshooting electronic circuits to component level.
Lay out, build, test, repair, and modify military grade cable assemblies.
Able to fluently read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Observe all Occupational, Safety and Health guidance.
Must be team oriented, but capability and willing to work independently when required.
Analyze hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors
Adjust or recommend enhancements in systems and new hardware as well as modify existing hardware to add features and functionality
knowledgeable of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
Working with Hardware Engineering Team to complete Hardware Development, Simulation and Verification for digital signal processing and general processing projects
Address somewhat complex technical issues/problems
Provide specific input to the hardware components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
US Citizenship is required along with active Secret security clearance
HS or equivalent, 4 + years’ experience in engineer and or technical environment
Use and configurations of RF test equipment such as PNAs and Spectrum analyzers
Good understanding of RF/circuit design concepts, patterns, tools, and best practices
Excellent communication skills.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Experience with RF, circuit, and system simulation tools
Working knowledge of signal processing fundamentals
Willingness to learn and apply the best technology for a given application.
