CACI is hiring an experienced network engineer to support a key program based in Chantilly, VA. Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the Army National Guard providing IT infrastructure and network engineering support.
What you’ll get to do:
Provide computer network expertise for upgrading and replacing existing Cisco networking equipment (e.g., routers and switches) as part of large fielding effort. You will be working closely with other network engineers, the client support operations center, network security engineers, and various other stakeholder across the effort. This opportunity involves travel to remote sites to assist with equipment moves and standing up new sites. Up to 75% of travel will be required as part of fast pace fielding schedule.
Are you interested in:
Installation and configuration of Cisco networking infrastructure across multiple enterprise environments/client locations, both remotely and on-site
Create and maintain detailed diagrams and technical documentation of enterprise networks
Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, MPLS and general network theory required
Provide timely and accurate status updates to customer contacts and management
Partner and work with 3rd party teams and vendors
Tasks involve providing support, troubleshooting, device maintenance drive updates, site moves. and site installations
You have and are good at:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD clearance (required)
5+ years related professional experience, experience in lieu of degree will be considered
Network Routing +5
Network Switching +5
Certifications (must be DOD 857 compliant with a combination of the following):
CCNP
CCNA
Security +
Effective communication skills
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter and highly proactive
Bonus would be having:
Understanding of DoD network standards
Prior experience with the Army, Army Reserves, or Army National Guard
Previous network experience/exposure to SIPRNet enclaves
