Cyber Analyst/Engineer
Job Posting Description
KBR is hiring a Cyber Analyst/Engineer in Reston, VA. The position is responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on communications infrastructure(s). Analysts/Engineers will use a variety of known threats, vulnerabilities, identified hazards, and other open-source data to deliver a comprehensive cyber assessment of countries of interest.
Responsibilities:
Produce timely, fused, all-source cyber operations intelligence products (e.g., threat assessments, briefings, intelligence studies, country studies)
Perform critical node analysis of installation communications infrastructure including computer networks, open-source data, and host-nation support infrastructure (power, electronic signatures, heat/air, fuel, protection systems, etc.)
Utilize existing intelligence products to aid in the development, refinement, and delivery of customized cyber-focused country threat assessments
Directly engage with customers to refine requirements for cyber assessments; directly support the user’s operational planning and execution
Demonstrate exceptional ability to conduct open-source research using the Department of Defense Information Networks
Utilize in-depth knowledge of computers, networks (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls), transport components and peripherals, web applications, databases, storage arrays, and cloud infrastructure to develop and refine cyber assessments
Required Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cyber Analyst/Engineer or in a relevant analysis or engineer function for the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
Operational experience or advanced certifications in cyber related functional areas can serve as a substitute for total years of experience.
Course completion or certifications related to cyber methodologies, joint cyber activities, or cyber threat analysis is desired.
In-depth knowledge of adversarial cyber exploitation tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) as well as understanding of the Cyber Protection Conditions is desired.
Experience with attack analysis or Red Team penetration testing against operational computer networks including experience in Windows Security, Network Security, Linux/Unix Security, Database security, or Mainframe Security is desired.
Experience evaluating systems and network devices and enterprise networks for Information Assurance vulnerabilities.
Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required. (10%)
Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI security clearance w/CI Poly
