Title:
Innovation Lab Architect
KBR is seeking a highly motivated integration lab architect to support the NRO’s Mission Integration Directorate (MID). MID manages an enterprise innovation laboratory capable of data fusion, supporting novel tradecraft development, and enabling modeling and simulation. This capability conveys new and emerging NRO capabilities and shows how user needs can be satisfied by adapting and enhancing new capabilities and tradecraft. It provides robust, rapid, and timely responses to user needs to accelerate the time to demonstrate, deliver, and sustain advantages that enable the NRO to solve the most challenging National security issues. The enterprise theater will be a resource for MID to provide a robust collaboration and presentation platform and integrate with existing tools and hardware to facility future visualization expansion.
Responsibilities:
Defining and architecting a computing architecture, network, and data ingest visualization center to support processing for mission specific algorithm integration and risk-reduction studies
Oversee internal development and 3rd party interface management of software deployed to support the visualization lab, to include but not be limited to Python, AWS, Rust, Java, and Linux scripting
Minimum Qualifications:
5-10 years’ experience with space systems acquisition and /or sustainment
Experience in hardware integration, software integration, cloud services and formation of a visualization lab
Ability to enable acceleration of innovation and tradecraft enhancements at the speed of need and of industry
Ability to enhance alignment of development and integration with end-user needs and tradecraft
Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs
Ability to maximize services and capabilities, provisioned as a service
Maximize developer flexibility, control and transparency while minimizing security risks
Ability to enable streamlined access to infrastructure for participant developers and external contractor and Government partners
Ability to enhance and enable interoperability across the enterprise
Have technical and analytic ability to assist in maintaining tools and algorithms.
5 years’ experience with NRO space and ground systems to adequately understand mission needs across the enterprise
Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter who can partner with multiple teammates
Desired Qualifications:
Technical degree in computer engineering or equivalent discipline
Understanding of acquisition and operations technology best practices
Exposure to the system design trade process, assessing system design options, analyzing mission requirements, monitoring vehicle development, test development/execution, and tracking requirement verification
Specific knowledge of the NRO space and ground systems and processes
Clearance: TS/SCI or SCI eligible
