Title:
Protection Systems Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Protection Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing space protection defensive-related requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), architecture products, system schedules, and risks for end-to-end closure of the baseline for Space protection-related activities in the overall Enterprise.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support by assessing space protection defensive-related requirements, CONOPs, architecture products, system schedules, and risks for end-to-end closure of the baseline for space protection-related activities in the overall Enterprise.
Perform space protection evaluations of threat avoidance (course of action) concepts.
Perform avoidance evaluations.
Collaborate across stakeholder organizations to obtain system end-to-end closure of protection and defense programs by running system readiness events following approved processes for Integration and Closure (I&C).
Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.
Support full lifecycle acquisition across all mission domains of complex national systems architecture.
Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in space protection, threat avoidance, and tracking algorithm enhancements.
Knowledge of CONOPs, architecture products, system schedules, and risks.
Experience with space protection evaluations and collision avoidance evaluations.
Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations.
Strong communication skills to interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups.
Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly security clearance required

Basic Compensation:
108,445.00 – 162,725.00 USD Annual
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
