Title:
Jr Mission Assurance Engineer
KBR is seeking a junior-level Mission Assurance Systems Engineer to provide mission assurance and supply chain management oversight functions in support of the development and fielding of major systems ensuring their successful acquisition and the success of the government customer. As a junior Mission Assurance Systems Engineer, you will work alongside other enterprise- and program-level systems engineers ensuring government acquisition decisions are made considering commercial and other supply chain technological or logistical changes and challenges.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Support and advising DoD and IC standards committees; facilitating the development and vetting of hardware and software standards
Support customer Mission Assurance interests across the space industrial base, includes coordination with a wide variety of Department of Defense Agencies, Offices, and Commands.
Coordinate and execute the customer’s Mission Assurance related processes in accordance with their standards and practices
Assess and monitor commercial acquisitions and mergers for impacts to customer acquisitions
Maintain list of customer critical technologies; support assessments of new technologies and practices for mission assurance risk to customer acquisitions; effectively communicate findings throughout impacted customer base or as otherwise directed
Work closely with other members of the systems engineering team (e.g., Schedule Management, Risk, Issues, and Opportunity) to support and advise on Mission Assurance related activities and assessments
Support the planning, coordination and execution of high-level and working-level conferences, forums, and working group
Update and maintain customer’s supply chain database in accordance with their standards and practices; maintain list of critical technologies
Monitor and track the customer’s Industrial Base for impact to its acquisitions
Conduct Mission Assurance analysis and reporting assessments as requested/neededMaintain and update Mission Assurance related policies and procedures
Advise and assist the customer on the Mission Assurance related process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Management preferred)
2 years’ experience
Relevant experience; DoD or IC experience a plus
Familiarity with Adobe Connect software
Experience planning, coordinating, and executing conferences, forums, or working groups
Clearance: TS/SCI required
Basic Compensation:
88,780.00 – 133,170.00 USD Annual
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
