Title:
Sr. Architecture System Engineer
KBR is seeking a Sr-level Systems Engineer to provide architecting support
for the planning, acquisition, and fielding of an enterprise of interdependent major systems ensuring the success of the government customer. The Systems Engineer will support a variety of enterprise and/or programmatic architecting functions, including strategy development and planning, concept development, requirement development and formalization, budget planning, user/stakeholder engagement, and assessments.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Support and advise the customer in developing enterprise-wide strategies addressing challenges and exploiting opportunities, drafting future architecture plans, identification of threats, challenges and opportunities
Support and advise on the strategic enterprise architecture priorities
Identify and develop architectural concepts satisfying user needs, addressing gaps, taking advantage of opportunities
Assess and advise on other proposed architectural concepts for satisfying user needs, addressing gaps, and taking advantage of opportunities
Create, deliver and maintain architecture descriptions, digital models, CONOPS, and other architecture products as appropriate.
Support the enterprise-wide budget planning process via the development, coordination, and issuance of enterprise architecting guidance in accordance with enterprise-wide strategies
Lead enterprise-level working groups to support the development and buy-in of new or enterprise implementation of existing capabilities
Work within the mission partner and user communities to identify new architectural requirements satisfying their needs
Support the delivery of intelligence community budget documentation
Create and deliver capability documents in collaboration with intelligence community agencies, mission partners, and internal offices
Create and deliver budget planning guidance aligned with the future architecture plans in collaboration with organizational offices
Support and advise customer on mission partner, stakeholder, and user community reviews
Participate in user engagement and needs solicitation activities; drafting briefings, white papers, conducting assessments
Deliver business case analysis based on capability assessments
Create, deliver, and maintain technical assessments on technological opportunities and risks in consideration of incorporating into the architecture
Coordinate and execute the customer’s architecting functions processes in accordance with their standards and practices
Maintain and update customer architecture related policies and procedures
Advise and assist the customer on the enterprise architecture related process improvements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (STEM or advanced degree preferred)
15+ years similar working experience
Working knowledge of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
Working experience in DoD or IC
Desired Qualifications:
Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology
OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional certification or demonstrated commensurate level of knowledge
Knowledge of the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
Knowledge and experience with System Modeling Language (SysML)
Experience with Cameo, SparxEA, or Rhapsody tool suites
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Clearance: Top Secret – SCI eligible
