Title:
Payload Systems Engineer – TS/SCI
KBR is seeking Payload Systems Engineer with TS/SCI with Poly candidate for Chantilly, VA. Candidate with RF background with Acquisition experience to assist in the development of a Satellite RF payload. The Payload Systems Engineer (PSE) RF engineer is responsible for supervision of contractor testing and verification, design review and advise the Government on schedule risks. Perform on a team that oversees all aspects of design and build of the RF mission payload.
– Responsible for completing all assigned training
– Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for RF mission payload
– Performs testing and verification activities for software and hardware used for on orbit science activities as well as various software tools used on console
Required Qualifications:
– Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph
– A bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related field and a minimum of 5 years experience in the field
– Previous experience solving complex problems and working to develop solutions quickly.
– Previous proven coordination experience.
– Demonstrated technical competence in RF engineering and systems engineering
– Effective communication (both written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to perform in highly visible and stressful situations.
– Must be reliable, adaptable, and capable of working in a team environment
– Must be able to work various shifts
Desired Qualifications:
– Experience in NRO systems and development of space systems
– Experience in Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) construct
– Earned Value (EVM) process experience
