Systems Engineer: Scheduler
JOB DESCIPTION
KBR is seeking a mid-level Scheduler to provide schedule management functions in support of the development and fielding of major systems ensuring their successful acquisition and the success of the government customer. As a Scheduler, you are a key part of the systems engineering acquisition team ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of and adhere to the program schedule supporting the ultimate delivery of programs on time, within budget and fulfilling all requirements.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Identify, assess, and incorporate new schedule data into existing customer furnished scheduling tools in coordination with program representatives
Manage program schedule data in accordance with customer’s schedule management processes, standards, and practices, in support of acquisition management processes including program acquisition reviews and independent program reviews
Execute schedule analysis identifying critical path(s) and schedule validation identifying schedule impacts
Work closely with other members of the systems engineering team to support schedule analysis as requested/needed; assist program representatives in understanding potential impacts of schedule variances
Identify, generate, and track Enterprise-level milestones; conduct continuous assessments of Enterprise-level critical path(s)
Coordinate, integrate, and execute scheduling functions for multiple large, interdependent programs simultaneously
Assist and advise other teammates with systems engineering-related scheduling responsibilities
Update, maintain, deliver scheduling products as directed by customer, including the depiction of integrated milestones across inter-related/dependent programs
Work with government customer’s external partners on key schedule data and assessments
Maintain and update scheduling related policies and procedures
Advise and assist the customer on the scheduling related process improvements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study
3+ years of experience in schedule analysis, and Government contracting principles and practices
Proven working knowledge of schedule management practices, procedures, and tools
Ability to identify, track, and assess program schedule critical paths & schedule margin erosion
Ability to perform schedule diagnostic and schedule validation assessments
Understand correlation of contractor status to various technical performance metrics and to assess schedule alignment with objective performance measures in support of schedule forecasts
Sound judgment and discretion, possess ability to work on, and collaborate with, cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
Effective communication skills in writing, oral and briefings, as well as proficiency in the use of standard office systems and software products such as Microsoft Office, including SharePoint
