ManTech’s Advanced Forensics Team is looking for highly-motivated professionals to serve as a Hardware Exploitation Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia. This is a highly-challenging and rewarding position with significant impact on national security offering the opportunity for rapid upward mobility. A wide range of knowledge and skills are needed such as computer forensics, data recovery, hardware reverse engineering, intrusion analysis and methodologies, intelligence analysis, embedded hardware design, vulnerability assessments, and technical reporting for various government customers. Applicants are expected to bring expert-level knowledge in several areas; familiarity with other areas will be gained through on-the-job exposure.Candidates will have significant experience in several of the following:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• PCB testing, repairs requiring expert soldering skill and data extraction
• Digital/analog media imaging, damaged media recovery and digital forensic analysis
• Determining functions and capabilities of digital and analog electronics
• Circuit reverse engineering, redesign and rework.
• System programming familiarity C, C++, ASM (MIPS, ARM, x86), Verilog, Python
• RF system and antenna experience
• Data communication implementation and standards (wired and wireless)
• Circuit board population, bring-up, test and debug
• Wireless communication implementation and standards: 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, UMTS, GSM, CDMA, NFC.
Basic Requirements:
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent training or experience) and 4 years’ related experience OR 8 years’ related experience with relevant technical or military training.
• Experience with power electronics, switching power electronics, and embedded power systems
• Experience with hands on work in one or more of the following: data storage technology design and repair, PCB design and repair, logic analyzers and protocol analysis, computer programming.
• Experience with soldering; expert level skills required
• Experience with Windows, Linux and Mac operations – legacy OS experience a bonus
• Knowledge of high speed printed circuit board design
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Mobile OS to include Android, iOS and legacy systems
• Ability to demonstrate strong technical written and verbal communication skills is essential
• Ability to multi-task, handle stress and work well under pressure
• Possession of advanced analytical and critical thinking skills
