Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Network Systems Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure the architecture and design of the customer’s information systems are functional and secure.
Provide system or network designs that encompass multiple computers and networks to include those with differing data protections/classification requirements.
Develops test and integration plans for new systems and software to ensure compatibility with current IT infrastructure.
Provides operational support and maintenance, when necessary, to ensure systems functionality, availability, security, and performance.
Ensures all systems meet or exceed the business and security requirements in accordance with DOD directives and guidelines.
Prepares technical documentation, to include standard operating procedures and processes as well as Visio diagrams
Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity.
Administers and maintains classified networks and telecommunication systems and services to ensure optimum performance and availability.
Maintains technical proficiency in new IT technologies; keeps abreast of industry trends and makes recommendations to improve or advance services and system performance.
Communicates all computer network, system and service problems and outages immediately to the appropriate chain of command
Basic Qualifications:
DoD 8570.1 / DoD 8140.01 (IAT II Level) certification
DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification within 6 months of hire
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or similar field of study) and have 7+ years’ experience with information networks and related security concerns; or a Master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience. Work experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements
Experience with Agile Scrum Methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft operating systems and software, VMware technology suite and Linux
Experience with VMware datacenter solutions for enclaves, multitenancy, high availability and disaster recovery
Experience with RMF and DODAF 2.0 documentation standards and Change Management process
Professional level MS, Linux, VMware, or cloud certifications
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Security Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship and active TS clearance is required. SCI eligibility highly desired. Willingness to submit for CI Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
