ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Network Architect in the Chantilly, VA area, with strong customer relationships. As a Network Architect, you will be responsible for working as part of a small focused technical team to design, test, maintain, implement and deliver our solution. Duties include design, document, implement, troubleshoot, maintain, and test our Cloud Gateway and associated projects. Key technology areas include, CISCO, MPLS/BGP, routing, switching, SDN/NFV, and TACLANE encryption devices. The ideal candidate will also possess experience with system verification and testing; patch management; issue and problem management; COMSEC and RMF/JSIG assessment and authorization.
This position has a Hybrid work schedule.
The Network Architect Will:
Design and implement a multi-location Cloud Gateway solution
Perform modeling, analysis, planning, and design of network security measures
Participate in preparing the Cloud Gateway architecture for assessment and authorization process and the NIST 800-53 family of controls
Advise the customer on technical solutions for connecting with other gateways including potential fail-over and BGP traffic weighting between gateways
As part of the team, help maintain documentation to include system configuration, knowledge base, operation guides and standard operating procedures
Interact with and help the onboarding of connections/customers to the Cloud Gateway
Participate in technical exchange meetings with other technical professionals
Conduct research and troubleshooting
Develop and document network administration standard operating procedures.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the elements that comprise the Cloud Gateway
Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency in design and implementation, as well as ensuring environment stability and providing notification of issues/concerns
Create and modify scripts to automate tasks
Work under general direction, with limited supervision
Positions Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 7-12 years of related experience
Demonstrated experience configuring network connectivity between AWS Cloud and on-premises networks
Demonstrated experience configuring network security components such as SSL and IPSec VPNs
Experience with Elastic Search (Elk Stack) for analyzing logs (desired)
Experience with automation (REST API, Ansible, Python, PowerShell)
Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) to automate provisioning and increase redundancy
Extensive experience with BGP
Experience with SD_WAN
Experience with Cloud Service Providers (i.e.. AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud)
Experience with scripting languages
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting CISCO devices
Knowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
Experienced with routing and switching
Ability to explain complex ideas or information clearly
Skilled in identifying and solving problems by gathering and applying information from a variety of materials or sources
Strong written and oral communication skills, detail oriented, strong organizational skills
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Excellent attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
Experience with MS Office, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
Must possess DoD 8570 IAT-I certification
Cisco Certification: CCIE or CCNP
Security Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
Physical Requirements:

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,800-$175,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
