IT Project Manager – Dedicated Support
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Project Manager to join our team in Northern Virginia. The team you will be joining provides dedicated support for customer requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads projects with notable risk and complexity
Develops the strategy for project execution while managing schedules, costs and risks
Support tool and application deployments as well as decommissioning
Coordinate and track compliance activities
Prioritize and manage day-to-day requirements, service requests and procurements
Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
Recommends, develops, and measures key performance indicators (KPI) as needed to monitor performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple disciplines in the IT function
Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met
Oversees project planning, and execution of assigned projects
Create and maintain a master schedule; performing schedule analysis, monitoring project progress against cost and schedule and resolving variances, validating completion of scheduled project activities and milestones, providing updates to customers and Program management.
Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure successful delivery of all projects.
Creating and briefing presentations, reports, metrics to customers and Program leadership, as needed.
Attending customer meetings as required.
Leveraging problem solving skills to provide solutions and work with customer in providing resolution.
Maintaining and updating records and tracking databases.
Using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
Solving complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
Monitoring customer satisfaction which includes routine interaction with customers and staff and build strong trusting professional relationships.
Hours of coverage:
Current hours are 6:30am -3:00pm; shift time can be flexible within core hours.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience serving as a program or project manager leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary staff of various levels.
Demonstrated experience developing project budgets utilizing service catalogs.
Demonstrated experience managing projects in a WCF environment.
Demonstrated experience presenting and briefing to senior customer management and customer stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with both responsibility for managing personnel, tasks, and interaction with all levels of customers.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to provide solutions and work with customer in providing resolution.
Experience employing scrum master techniques in Agile development practices
Must be a self-starter and work with a clear and defined mission.
Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
Expertise, training, and actual work experience with specific, systems and technologies.
Must demonstrate ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.
Communicates complex concepts.
BA/BS and four (4) years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct knowledge of the customer’s operational environment, including (but not limited to) ticketing systems, desktop technologies, corporate applications, access administration, and voice and video infrastructure.
PMP® or equivalent project management certification
ITIL® v4 Foundation, or higher, certification
Experience with ServiceNow ITSM & ITMB
Security Clearance Requirements:
Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.
Must be able to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
