Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Technical Project Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Job Profile Summary
Manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple disciplines in the IT function
Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met at senior levels may employ scrum master techniques in Agile development practices
Manages professional associates and/or supervisors
Is accountable for the performance and results of a team
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan; receives moderate guidance from manager
Provides subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues and/or customers
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas
Integrates industry best practices in own area to the achieve of objectives
Manages a generally homogeneous team; adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges
Identifies and resolves moderately complex business problems
Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness of objectives
Guided by department policies, resource requirements, budgets, and the business plan
Guides, influences, and persuades others internally and/or externally
Requires Bachelor’s Degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs as the overall project lead for a large scale cyber security data analytic platform, with responsibilities for project scope, schedule and performance
Coordinate the engineering, integration, and administration function required to deliver capabilities and services to the customer
Ensure that all aspects of the project is completed and delivered according to the implementation plan and schedule
Responsible for coordinating the build-out and testing of sophisticated applications and tools in a virtual environment
Manage the engineering, integration, and administration support required for successful delivery of capabilities and services to the operational and engineering baseline
Utilizes expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents.
Manage incident/request ticket queues through ServiceNow and various ticket platforms
Attend weekly customer and contractor meetings and track action items to completion
Coordinate and assign tasks in aiding the Program/Project engineers in testing and implementing future enhancements
Answers technical questions regarding products and services, and may take part in putting together proposals, configurations and product offerings.
Operate and multitask in a dynamic high tempo environment
Perform work duties in a government environment as part of a multi-contractor team
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Education: B.S. or relevant experience in related field
Minimum/General Experience: 7+ years of related experience
Must possess the required DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II or higher certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management as necessary to clearly articulate ideas for executive level and technical staff consumption
Managerial and leadership experience of small to medium team is required
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities
Strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with a high level of attention to detail are required to succeed in this diverse environment
Ability to demonstrate understanding and appropriate application of DoD policy and technical security guidance to information systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large scale search and analytics platforms, preferably the Elastic Stack
Knowledge and application of leveraging containers and container platform technologies such as Kubernetes
General knowledge of security technologies such as vulnerability management, intrusion detection/prevention, log monitoring, and endpoint protection
Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
Understanding or ability to learn the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met
Familiarity with virtualization and cloud environments
Risk Management Framework knowledge and experience
Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Security Clearance Requirement:
Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ a polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
