In this role, the Principal Software Engineer will:

Be capable of independent design, architecture, and implementation of applicable technologies to complete Mission requirements.
Be part of a team of Software and Test engineers in the design and development of new enterprise systems and continued O&M of existing systems.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related STEM degree and a minimum of 9 years related experience.
Experience with Software Architecture
Requirements definition – to include iterative derivation of requirements with customer input
Must have 5+ years development experience with Java, C/C++, C#
Must have 5+ years development experience on Windows and/or Linux OS platforms
Must have an active Secret Clearance
Must be willing to upgrade to a TS/SCI with FSP

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

2+ years development experience with x86 Assembly language
UEFI Firmware development experience
Active TS/SCI with FSP

Salary Range: $142,800 USD – $214,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
