Responsibilities
Peraton, a recognized leader in Cyber, Digital Transformation, Cloud, Operations and Engineering, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join an agile development team creating the next generation ETL Platform that supports operations vital to our customer’s mission to produce outstanding intelligence analysis for our nation’s policy makers. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with your Agile development team to design and implement, test and deploy the next generation Extract Transform and Load Platform that supports vital operational and analytical missions. The ETL Platform will process petabytes of data annually to extract data from a myriad of formats including structured, unstructured, binary and text. You will use best of breed open source and commercial technologies such as Apache NiFi, Kafka, and AWS to implement your team’s solution against systems requirements. You will develop features in the data workflow that extracts embedded objects such as video and audio recordings to enrich the content of data available to operators and analysis. You will create interfaces to various analysis tools as well as to other content enhancement applications such as language translators. In short, you will build the future! Qualifications
Minimum QualificationsBS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems, Science, Engineering or Technology fieldBA/BS and 12-15 years of total experience or Masters and 10+ years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeMinimum of 8-10 years of experience in software developmentMinimum of 2 years of experience with AWSDemonstrable experience with Java, Python, C++, or C#Active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance is requiredDesired QualificationsExperience with Apache NiFiExperience with DevSecOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, etc.Experience with AWS SQS and Apache KafkaExperience with Agile development methodologies

Target Salary Range
$146,000 – $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
