The Surveillance & Network Systems (SNS) organization at Raytheon Intelligence & Space provides the joint warfighter with actionable information from an unblinking eye across the battlespace. By joining our SNS Engineering team you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop and test product capabilities for Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, integrated sensor suites, precision targeting, multispectral EO/IR targeting systems, Pilot Situational Awareness, Special mission aircraft and Strategic and tactical ISR Systems.
Our Special Mission Aircraft Engineering Team has an immediate opportunity for an Integration & Verification/Validation (IV&V) Systems Engineer on an advanced airborne Sensor program. The IV&V Systems Engineer will perform software and hardware integration, verification, and validation activities for a state-of-the-art airborne sensor system.
Work Location:
This position requires the successful candidate to work fulltime onsite in Oklahoma City. Remote work is not possible for this position
Clearance Requirement: Must have or be able to obtain an active Secret Security Clearance, US Citizenship required
Required Qualifications:
10+ year experience with integration, verification, and validation of large system of system solutions – including impromptu requirements analysis
Knowledge integrating and assessing performance of EOIR, RADAR, SIGINT, and RF Communications systems on flight platforms
Breadth and depth of multi-disciplinary knowledge with experience in mechanical, electrical (primarily in RF systems), software, and system engineering
Familiarity of IP networking concepts and implementation
Programing in Windows and Linux environments for embedded systems
Create tools for data capture and analyses in MATLAB, LabView, C/C+, C#, Python, and Java
Troubleshoot COTS and custom hardware and software interfaces
Flight test planning, equipment installation, & data analysis
Leadership of cross disciplinary/regional teams. Direct execution: planning, running equipment, physical installation, or troubleshoot
Occasional International Travel
Desired Qualifications:
Active and in-scope DOD Secret US security clearance
Recent experience with modern, low level test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, and optical test sets
Flight test planning including route definition, test range setup, pilot coordination, air to ground coordination, sensor collection planning, and flight dynamics considerations
Experience comprehending, integrating, and troubleshooting standard aircraft and COTS communications standards and protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, Serial Communications (primarily asynchronous), Ethernet, and USB from both hardware and messaging/software perspectives
Flight test data collection planning and automation
CAM, EVMS, EAC understanding
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORs)
Education & Experience Requirements:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Technology, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience – OR
Advanced Degree in Engineering, Physics, Technology, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience
