We are currently seeking talented and detailed-oriented Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) to leverage their technical and information assurance (IA) expertise to monitor our clients’ computing systems, networks, and environments to detect, correct, and mitigate security policy non-compliance, vulnerabilities, and risks that potentially jeopardize national security. You will have the opportunity to work with multi-disciplined engineering teams and organizations to develop and implement security strategies to mitigate security risks for mission-critical information systems, networks, and computing environments. Your talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to the safeguarding of valuable intelligence systems and data, ensuring positive mission outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Supports the formulation, implementation, and enforcement of information security policies and standards to enable the protection of classified systems
Provides configuration management for information system security software, hardware, firmware, networking components (e.g., switches, routers, hubs, and firewalls)
Reviews, evaluates, and recommends information security solutions to ensure the compliance with clients’ security requirements and policies
Supports the development and maintenance of system security plans (SSPs), certification & accreditation (C&A) documentation, IA documentation, and security policies
Qualifications
Senior ISSO role
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Assurance, Information Systems, Information Science, or similar discipline. Four years of relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree if the experience includes information systems design, systems development, information security, computer forensics, and vulnerability assessment.
5+ years of ISSO experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Desired qualifications:
Experience with DoD and NIST Risk Management Frameworks (RMFs) and processes
Network and systems administration experience
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information system security technologies, IT policies, application/software/hardware security design and implementation, networking/communication protocols, and data encryption tools and methodologies
Principal ISSO role
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Assurance, Information Systems, Information Science, or similar discipline. Four years of relevant experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree if the experience includes information systems design, systems development, information security, computer forensics, and vulnerability assessment.
8+ years of ISSO experience
