Description
SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.
We are seeking highly motivated Cryptanalytic Computer Scientists to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to assist with solving complex problems, testing innovative approaches, and researching and developing new solutions. As the Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist, you will apply computer science to develop cryptanalytic capabilities and techniques to exploit cryptographic systems.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Utilizing mathematical and statistical methods, new algorithms, and computational methods to design, develop, deliver, and operate solutions to hard cryptologic or cryptanalytic computer science problems within scientific framework
Applying algorithm design techniques (e.g., heuristics and data structures) to conduct computer security functions such as vulnerability identification, threat detection, attack detection, and countermeasure implementation (Technical solutions may arise in the form of forensics and attack attribution, critical network protection, active systems warnings and indicators, and active penetration into target systems)
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics (including Applied Math), or related field
5+ years of relevant experience in computer science research, simulation and model development, and prototyping, software design, programming, computational science, algorithm analysis and design, reverse engineering, and/or designing and developing computer or information systems, including engineering hardware and/or software
Desired Qualifications:
Relevant experience in designing, developing, utilizing, and evaluating mathematic models, methods, and/or techniques to study issues and solve problems
