JOB DESCRIPTION
Description
SAIC is seeking a Cyberspace Analyst II. This position directly supports the USCYBERCOM Joint Operations Center (JOC) in functions related to Platform, Infrastructure, and Capability Oversight (PICO) and Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO).
Shift will be Tuesday – Friday – 2300-0900
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Review pending critical system outages for timing and impact deconfliction
Track approved scheduled outages for mission-critical systems
Update products with current and relevant information on a continuous basis
Brief current and forecasted system status and health information
Monitor major cyber events
Provide defense mitigation recommendations and risk assessments to the Battle Captain in accordance with current operational priorities
Review reporting and coordinate with partners (e.g. JFHQ-DODIN, J36 GMEC, NSA) as required on significant activity reports, malware analysis requests, and requests for support from organizations external to the JOC
Evaluate information reported from USCYBERCOM components and make recommendations to the Battle Captain on time-sensitive actions required to ensure DOD capabilities remain secure and resilient
Develop information requirements necessary to resolve cyberspace vulnerability or threat-related questions;
Provide support in the response, mitigation, and reporting of cyber incidents / malware / indicators of compromise submitted to USCYBERCOM through various unclassified channels
Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma
Minimum six years of experience as a Cyberspace Analyst or a related functional area
Minimum DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification, CSSP Incident Responder, or CSSP Infrastructure Support
Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
